How often do you call your friends and family?

Wow, 36 hours by train. That a day and a half. I have to travel 16 hours by air to visit my parent and 12 hours by air to visit my parent in law. We call each other at least twice a week via Skype and for friends, they are busy with their job. And worst, our time zone is a hindrance. So we try to call each other twice a month.

I call my family all the time just because I'm really close with them. My friends I don't really call, I just talk to them online mostly. And I don't call my boyfriend because I live with him.

I rarely call people just to say hello. I usually have something else to discuss before asking them how are they.

I live in a different country and all my friends and family are very far. I call my parents once in a week and my sister once in a fortnight. Never really call friends, keep in touch via the internet very regularly.

I used to call my mother every day like a dutiful daughter and also because if I didn't I would get guilt tripped and told I don't love her but now its every other day or every third day and she still tries to guilt trip me but like today when I called her and she said "oh I thought you forgot me because I haven't heard from you in a couple days" well I turned around and changed the topic. My friends I talk to them every three or four days and sometime not for weeks or months but unlike my mother they say hey whats up and we talk like we just talked yesterday.

hm i rarely call my family..maybe just for telling where i'm, or if there is something important..
