Don't you think these days too many people are getting thin, thinner & skinny? Being slim is good, but to become slim, becoming thin, thinner & skinny, does that look nice? Do you like people with little extra pounds or skinny???

Yes, I agree that slim people look good, but not skinny. I don't like skinny people because they look so sick sometimes.

It seems that these days everyone is either on one extreme or the other. Those who are skinny though are MUCH too skinny. They look sickly, and probably are. It makes me sick to see how scrawny some of these girls are and still worried about their weight. It isn't at all attractive.

I dont find more and more of slim people around here but i do that that more and more people are willing to lose weight and become slim. They are trying to adopt different ways and means to get slim and i too am among this group. I do want to be slim but not skinny.

I like slim, neither with extra pounds nor skinny.

I wrote this http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/933973.aspx a while ago, particularly about the media pressure placed on the stereotypical skinny image. The trauma and misery this causes still goes on despite the face that we are all different.

i am not so sure about that because there are still far more overweight and obese people compared to skinny people.

I think there is way too much pressure for people to be "skinny" these days, and in following this stereotype of what the perfect body is, people are becoming unhealthy, both physically because of the effects of what they are doing, and mentally, because of the pressure they put on themselves, and they allow other people to put on them, in order to get there.
