angrier than a wet cat..or in this case,two of them..

it's been really hot,humid and muggy up here the last few days,which tries people's tempers,let alone animals.now,usually my cats are good.they spend most of the day sleeping,and some days all 5 can be found resting quietly in a sunbeam.
today my oldest 2 (17 years old) had had enough of the heat,and in their misery decided to pick on each other.
i was watching tv,and all of a sudden,the inevitable
rrrr..RROWW!!! broke out.
i went to the source of the noise..didn't see them anywhere.huh?
then the kitchen gargage can yelled and vibrated.they had rolled off the table,into the garbage,and were now coated in urine and coffee grounds.
oy viz mir.
both were trotted up to the bathroom,to recieve baths.
..there has been a cease-fire,and both agree mommy is mean,as they were forced to suffer a hygene correction :)

Lol! "Hygene correction," such a nice way to whitewash what the cats call it. My cats swear about things like that--it sounds like swearing, so I presume that it is.

oh i have no doubt they swear.
one of them,my russian blue,lets out this contemptious snort really loudly when he's not happy with something.

I don't mind the yowls as much as I do the "you are used cat litter" comment that they occasionally give me. You know the move, they walk away from you and shake one of their backlegs at you. It is the ultimate kitty insult.

Aww, naughty kitties! They are probably so mad at momy right now and cursing her name under their breaths...hahahah.
So far, my cats have been really good about the heat. We have a Russian Blue named Timothy who DEFINITLEY gets way too hot with all that fur. He is the only boy and he thinks he has a herim with all the females in the house. He sometimes likes to bully them, but my cat, Lenore, always shows him that SHE is in charge. It's quite funny. He outweighs her by a fair amount, yet she kicks his butt all the time. LOL.
You know, our cats need baths, but i am not about to do it and have them hating me! THey are still mad at me for being gone for 2 years. i just got my cat back on my bed sleeping with me...i can't chance bathing her. i'll have to get Grandma to be the bad guy.

that's the way my house is also-the blue is in charge.i only have the one female,but she sometimes pushes even him around..and he lets her,surprisingly LOL
but the other cats i have are male,and they obey him.

jeez,that was my good laugh for the day although I don't think mommy thought it was funny,lol.It''s a shame you didn't video that,you could have sent it to Animal planet's funniest video's lol. Poor kitties.That heat is enough to make anyone cranky.How did the hygene correction go?Are they talking to you yet?lol

one of my friends is trying to talk me into a catcam site,just because of the things these guys do LOL
they took their baths pretty well..glaring at each other accusingly the whole time though.
they're not talking to me,but the two of them are curled up in the kitchen together,so they seemed to have gotten over it.

aww poor silly cats.
My cat gets super grumpy in the warm weather. He doesn't have a cat friend to take it out on though so it's usually taken out on me by not allowing me to touch him. It makes me sad. I also live above a garage so my apartment gets SUPER hot or SUPER cold depending on the weather outside. Sometimes it's warmer outside during the winter or colder outside during the summer than in my apartment. So once it starts getting to the upper 70's I've gotta turn my AC on.
It's good kitties always forgive though :)

Thanks for the chuckle. I can picture what you described. I hope you didn't recieve any battle wounds. Be careful now where you put your shoes as they might retaliate and leave you a present in there.lol.

i got a few scratches keeping them apart,but nothing major.
pft..if they were going to leave me a present,they'd leave it right in foot area next to the bed for me to get up.the bigger of the two has done that before

Awww. My cats don't fight very often, but when they do it's always my two oldest ones too. Two big ginger boys wanting to show whose Boss! They normally make more noise than actual damage though - and if I spray them with a harmless jet of water they behave in no time! They think I'm mean too!!

most of the time these two are all noise also.

Yes, poor animals in this weather though...there tempers can flare too...when I used to have a lot of more cats..yikes don't ask about the battles then..you don't want to know..it sounded like a murder going on.

Hahaha!! See when my cat acts up or is sick or something that causes me to be unplesent to her its even worse for me because then she gets mad at me! I tell he, "well if you didn't" or "the vets going to make you better" but of course she doesnt understand so I end up getting punished as well. She will ignore me and them walk on my face while I sleep or scratch my doors. Cats are silly.
