I am considered as an easy hit, people come up and borrow money while I can't say no to them. Do you easily lend money or can you say no to people who are in need?

Dear dbhattji, I had a bitter experience. Of course my office colleque would return the borrowed money. Few outsiders, whom I considered them needy for family expenses, I gave them money whenever they asked for. They used to take money from me without repaying the earlier loan. Considering their plight I used to lend them. Moreover I do not keep much friendship with street people due to my official work. One day while I was going to office, one known person of my street, told that please do not lend money to that person. I told him that he had to run the family, why did you say do not lend him. He immediately said that he was not helping his family but daily drinking out of the money borrowed from you. I was shocked. Next day I went to his house and found out the truth. From that day I never gave him a single paise. Most of the other outsiders are genuine case of family need.

But because of the few who are bad the ones who are really in need suffer, no one trusts them. I am reminded of a story I read as a child where a man cheated another and took his goat, the first one said I don't mind your taking my goat but please don't tell anyone about it otherwise people will stop trusting others. How do you feel about that?

Yup definitely. I think I have the word *Sucker* stenciled on my forehead. I have lost count of the amount of money people owe me over the years

I hope you have become wise now - I still can't say no, nor can I lie about not having money.

Hi there. A couple of years ago, I felt like that with a couple of people, who had borrowed of us. Then one day, being sick of it all, I refused to give out any moneys and boy did they get a heck of a shock LOL... They were too use to us sayin yes all the time... I had read some book, about the law of attraction and it sure did work...

hi! if i can afford to lend them money, i would be willing to help them when they need it. just make sure that it is being use for a good purpose. i know it's hard to earn money nowadays, but if i have too much, i can lend it to others who need it. coz i believe that it will come back easily to me.

I give my friends an image--I work hard for living! So that people don't ask me for borrowing money, they know I am not rich. However, if someone ask for it, I will try to know their difficulty then decide should I lend them money or not.

Well it depends, because im worried that my friends wouldn't pay me back like what happened to my ex boyfriend who would borrow money from me whenever we see each other, and never pays them back. Right now, im more careful in lending my money to my friends. Someone who i can trust that will pay me back.

Money is a sensitive thing, i like giving money out of my own volition than to give as a result of a request! I dont give money to those who borrow money, I just give it freely and i determine what to give, when you borrow a specific amount from me even if it were a penny, I feel very reluctant to give you!
