Parking in a Cul du Sac

I was walking my dog a while ago and was surprised to see how someone had parked their vehicle in a cul du Sac. Most of the time people either park like they do in a parking lot or along side of the curb. This time I saw a vehicle parked right in the middle of the circle. How weird is that? Why park that way? Now anyone who goes into that area will have to navigate around the dude (dudette) in the middle. I wouldn't do that. Would you?

It seems like there would be a better chance of it getting hit from people backing out of their driveway and not expecting a car parked right in the middle of a cul de sac.

Yeah. Sounds like fair game for a demolition derby!
