How to help your toddler improve his communication skills?

Do you have a baby at home ages 1 - 3 year old? I actually have 2 kids of that age right now. I'm starting to really help them improve their skills specially communication skills. Although I am reading books to do it properly, and I think I am doing it right, I still would like to hear from those who have had personal experience already. I would appreciate your time giving me your valuable advice. Thanks!

reading is great, but what about free programs at your local library that are featured for that age group? there they will be able to interact with other kids and work on their skills as well.

Well, I will check on it. I'll visit libraries within the vicinity. Thank you for the advice cher!

Reading books is good. It's also good to get flashcards and get them to say the words on the cards, and try to get them to pronounce things correctly. My 3 year old is in speech therapy due to slow speech. The therapist does a lot with play therapy where she will get on the floor with him and play with him with toys but while they are playing she will have him say different sentences about the toys.
