My daughter (23) just had her knee scoped for the second time. I am worried about having this happen so young in life so I thought I would check with the network and see if any of you have had problems with your knees and what you did to help it out. We are definitely going to follow the doctors orders but Dee is on her feet for 8 hours a day (vet tech) and we need to keep her legs healthy. Any ideas are welcomed.

what does having your knee scoped entail? i have horrible knees. i was hit by a car in 1990 and landed on my knees and now the left one is severely damaged and the right one moderately. i got an injection of cortisone about 2 months ago which did nothing and now the surgeon is sending me to an rhuematologist and if he cant do anything, surgery. :-(

The first time I had a spinal tap which made it so I would not feel anything. Then they made a small incision in which they put a camera and other equipment in and cleaned out all the bad stuff....basically bad tissue, parts of bone fragments, etc. I had to stay overnight and then went home to 2 weeks recovery with crutches. I had problems with the spinal tap and will NEVER have another one so this time they did a local and cleaned out scar tissue and more damage. They expect me to be back to work in one week. By the way, this is Dee.
