What is your favorite Ani Difranco lyric? There are lyrics for almost every situation I can think of, but my favorite is:
"I try to laugh at whatever life brings
because when I look down, I jsut miss all the good stuff
and when I look up, I just trip over things."

You got it! Every time I listen to "Self Evident" I crank up the volume right around that line. That song is so powerful and actually mad me cry the 1st time I heard it. The conviction in her voice in this song gives me chills.

I absolutly love the entire lyrics of "Both Hands", but the best parts must be "In eachothers shadows we grew less and less tall, and eventually our theories couldn't explain it all." and "I'm writing graffiti on your body, I'm drawing the story of how hard we tried."
It explains perfectly how a relationship can just fade away, even if you work so hard to make it work.

I love Ani! Her first album is still my favorite, for its rawness.
My favorite lyric: "Taken out of context, I must seem so strange."
Isn't this true for everyone? I try to suspend judgment of people, because you never know where someone's coming from. This is what Ani's lyric expresses for me.

i love ani! there are so many lyrics i could quote of ani's that i think are amazing and inspirational and just down right righteous.
right now i'm feeling"love is all over the place, there's nothing wrong with your face"
