confrontation

I've been debating over this subject for a while now and I'm not quite sure which way to go. This girl I barely know has labeled me as "being" and even suggested that I should be admitted to a facility. Being the person that I am,I'm not "catty",and nor do I let things like that bother me because I'm the better person and the way I see it if I responded to her,I feel like I would be stepping down to her level and it's just not me to let things like that bother me. Anyhow,on myspace, she said in a boastful way (in her comment box)that she can't believe she has a female stalker.First of,I have better things to do with my time.At first it didn't bother me that she thinks I'm stalking her,but after reading her comment,it makes me believe she has been saying this. This to me is defamation of character. I want to confront her about it,and I'm not even friends with this girl but she knows who I am.Should I leave her a message telling her to stop thinking I'm stalking her? Or should I just ignore all together?

I would totally ignore her. Any response on your part could be construed by her as 'proof' that you're stalking her! I would put a statement on my own page of what she's doing and let people draw their own conclusions. The best thing for you to do is be civil and polite in any dealings you have with her. Let her show what an a** she is.

Thanks DJ9020...that's exactly what I wanted to do and i just needed someone to reassure me that by ignoring her is by no means a way of being cowardly. I have better things to do with my time than waste it on someone like her. Thanks again...
