I was born in Athens, Ohio, USA. But I am not a USA citizen. My parents were studying there for Masters Degree then. After I was born my family stayed there until I was 6 years old. I miss my born town very much. I wish I could go there once again. Where were you born, and were you the citizen of that country?

I was under the impression that when a woman delivers a child in a foreign land, the child is granted a citizen by birth status. I do not know whether your parents check the rules of US properly. I was born in Airody, Udipi District - a place on west coast region. But the family migrated during 1950s to Bangalore city, some 400 km from my native place.

I thought this too, ssh123....... unless the parents were doing military duty and the child was born on a military base.

Any how, if you are planning to migrate to US, you will be given preference over others.

I was a USA citizen until I was 18. After that I was given a choice. I gave up my USA citizenship to be a full Malaysian. I can't have both.

I was born and raised in South-Africa, in a town called Bloemfontein, and I can understand why you still long for your home town, I am crazy about America

I am born a Singaporean Malay, bred in Singapore and I guess will grow old in Singapore. I wish I had the opportunity to migrate though. The longest I've been away from Singapore is about for 1 year. That was in Scotland, when I chose to accompany my hubby to further his studies. I also have the itch to move to our neighbouring state as my relatives are scattered all over Malaysia. :

I was born in Huntsville, Alabama. We only lived there 6 months after I was born and I have never returned. Alabama is what my mom and dad call home, but I never remember living there. I live in Texas now and have been here almost 20 years.

hi! I was born in New England, usa. And I've always lived in the usa, though I moved to the midwest when I was 18. And now both places are home. I'm very blessed in that I get to go home to new england to visit every year. I hope you get to visit your home town in Ohio again!:)

I was born in Stockholm, Sweden, and apart from two years of studying in the northern parts of my country I have always lived there.
