Lol i know what you mean i have to 9 presents and on top of that got 3 b.days in december as well. my partner has 3 sisters and 3 brothers but we never get the brothers anything and they never get us anything so thats easy. one thing i hate about having partners lol. Is the extra presents you have to buy at christmas and easter. just gets too expensive. Thankx for the reminder may have to buy some presents with tax money lol.

ahh ok. Makes it a bit easier for you then. My partners side stop buying birthday presents when they start working. But i love to celebrate birthdays and that even when you get older and hate knowing that your a year older lol. So i just buy them a card a couple of scratchies. Everyone loves scratchies so no harm done there.

Oh yes! I am thinking about Christmas. I tell myself that I am going to be finished the shopping by October but I'm always there on the 23rd elbowing through the crowds and then on the 24th I'm wrapping so much I can't enjoy Christmas Eve. It's not that I dont' shop ahead oh I do. I just have a horrible habit of buying an item with let's say my little brother in mind, then when i see him next I'll say "josh I went shopping and saw this so I picked it up for you" and I give it to him! Silly me. I think it's because I find this great gift and I know they'll like it and I want to see the look on their faces and I want to make them happy and give it to them so they can enjoy it NOW. That si the joy I get at christmas, everyone opening their gifts with the little kid suprise look and that twinkly happy glow in their eyes. Every year we re-live our childhood and the innocence and happiness at christmas (at least in my family). Aren't we crazy? lol But yes i am planning on christmas already. I want to this year finally get a day set aside for my siste, my mom, my aunt Judy, and me to bake. We all have these yummy recipes that we each no and I've always thought it would be nice to all back together. I think it would be fun.

well the thing is we all have our own little recipes that we refuse to give out lol (silly ladies we are) but I love my aunts chelsea buns, I've tried to make them using a recipe off the internet-nope just wasn't the same-, my sister makes an amazing Scottish shortbread cookie, my mom cannot be beaten for her pies, tarts, and bread, and me well, I'm a mediocre baker at best but I love to bake.

I've started, i always start around this time of year! Why? Easy, because the major toy stores here in Oz have HUGE toy sales this time of year & on to the sales they add, no deposit lay-by & to that lay-by they add - "We'll give you until Xmas Eve to pay for & pick up your Lay-by's"! It's just too good of a deal not to start now! Since we have so many nieces & nephews these days, it does get pretty expensive but by lay-bying everything now - i get all the kids something nice & don't have to rush around coz it can be paid off slowly over the next 5 months! I'll probably put on a new lay-by for the adult family members soon, just because then everyone will be organised & i wont have to think about it again until they're all paid off & i can pick them up! Plus, once everything is on lay-by, i can concentrate on the many Birthdays that are between now & Xmas!

I posted about this about a month ago, so if you are crazy I am really crazy....haha. I love thinking about Christmas. I bought some toys at Kohls when they ahd a big sale and stashed them away for Christmas already. I have a few other things I picked up after CHristmas last year because they were such good deals. Why not buy things early if it puts your mind at ease and you save money. As long as it isn't something perishable. I keep a list on my computer that I add to when I buy something. That way I can print it off if I am doing a big shopping trip so I don't overbuy for someone. Happy shopping!

I can't say I'm looking forward to the holidays, but I am starting to get prepared. Last year, I did all of my shopping in advance, and it was so nice having it all done before Christmas. It was also nice because I had a newborn, and I didn't have to deal with the shopping at the last minute. I can't believe Christmas will be here so soon!

i've been finished my christmas shopping for a while now. i bought a bunch of stuff for my daughter right after last christmas while everything was on sale. i save so much money doing it that way and i don't have to worry at all during the entire year about what i'm going to buy and where i'm going to get the money.

Yes I am too. I am trying to figure out what to get everyone. I know I want this to be the best but I dont think it will be. Because I am not employed so my fiance will have to buy all the gifts. I feel like where is this year going. I dont have a clue. So good luck floramwaters. Hope things go well for you.

I do the same thing.....I have 7 soon to be 8 children and money can get tight! So I to go out months before the Holiday and get it done and out of the way. I also really like it this way to because I'm not in that Christmas rush with line up to no end and people pushing like mad dogs. I just sit back and relax wrapping the gifts I bought throughout the year =) But most importantly I am still able to pay all my bills and not have to worry. Best Wishes Stacy

I havne't started shopping for anything, but I am contemplating different things to make for my friends and family for the holidays. Mostly I'm thinking about quilts and things like that. I also have a bunch of fabric that my son has painted on that I might use for some of the blankets.

I've already thought about it. I'll probably start making a list of people who I need to get presents for. I'll probably do the majority of my shopping online too. That would make life so much eaiser.

My whole family is yelling at me about bringing it up. But we are a tight month to month budget so we have to start now or there will be no x-mas, and I can't have that lol

Well now I'm thinking about it too and its very stressful. I love x-mas and everything about it except the amount of money we spend every year. We always end up spending way too much and we have so many people to buy for. We usually end up doing most of our shopping right before but it would be nice to actually start working on it now, maybe it wouldn't seem so stressful then.

I've been thinking about it too! I was at Michaels over the weekend looking through their 1$ bins. They had a whole bunch of really cute Tinkerbell stuff so I got some for my little sister, and my cousin who Loves Tink. I've also started buying the stuff I need to make a bunch of stuff.

I've been thinking about it. I've started making different little crafts and things to add to gifts. I can't start buying gifts because I don't have any money.

ahhh yes Christmas. The holiday where the bigger and more expensive the gift the more you love someone. I don't buy anything for anyone and I don't expect anything from any one. I have enough stuff. I just like getting together, sometimes with my brother and his wife and the folks and have a good dinenr, then fall asleep full.

Well, I also prefer to buy x-mas presents early, but not that much. Even because my family lives mostly on another state, and would be a lot of problem sending a lot of presents to them, so we got used to be exchanging just little presents.
