Should Wolverine Have a Spin-off?

Undeniably, Wolverine is the most popular member of the X-Men. Do people out there think he should have a spin-off film form the X-Men? Does Wolverine deserve it? And do you guys think Hugh Jackman and no one else should reprise the role? Otherwise, who do you think would be good in the role of the elusive Logan?

He is supposed to have his own movie in 2008. The creators of the X-men movie already said Hugh would be playing the role :D
