how long can you retain urine when travelling in a bus?

Just on tuesday i was travelling to another city, two hours from my station and i drunk a lot of water and when the bus took off i felt the urine but didn't want to stop the bus until we got to our destination, just about 5mins to reach i felt my blader pomping hard and i couldn't resist stopping the bus and immediately the stopped and it took me two minutes to finish urinating.
On the return journey the same thing happened but this time i was able to retain to until my final destination.
how about you and is it good to do that?

i don't know if you'd call it weird but i can hold it off for as long as the bus ride, for how many hours the ride would be. because i've been constantly traveling in the last 8 years, i've learned to condition myself before travel. if the bus ride is for two hours, i wouldn't feel the need to seek a toilet for two hours even if i take lots of liquid. if the ride is 6 hours or even 10 hours, i can hold it off... provided i condition myself before the ride.
in most areas of my destination, there weren't a lot of good public toilets around... so i usually wait until we reach our hotel or back home. i know it's not a good thing, it's not even healthy. so these days, when planning a trip, i usually include nice stop-overs where there would be nice toilets. :)

yeah, it really isn't healthy. :)
and oh, i forgot to add the downside of having a great control on holding off urine for several hours... unfortunately for me, if i conditioned myself for two hours without urinating and the travel took longer than two hours... i will experience the most uncomfortable discomfort exactly after two hours of the ride. :)
