Last Saturday my husband and I went home 11pm. While my husband parks the car, I opened the front door to get in the house and I saw that all out stuffs from the cabinet are scattered. We've been robbed! The entire house was in a total wreck. We've discovered that the robbers broke the window in our room to get in. They took some appliance and the office laptop which I logged out from the office. I couldn't forget the scene in our room that i we've moved out immediately and temporarily stayed with my parents. Each night that I need to get to sleep, I remember the scene. Is there a way for me to speed up my recovery? Thanks.

i imagine the installation of new locks on all doors and windows would help. maybe consider getting an alarm system?
i was robbed a long time ago..fortunatly they didnt get away with much cause the dogs in the backyard started going nuts...but i got brand new doorknobs w/locks and deadbolts put in on EVERy door that led outside and to the garage. and i have new locks put on all the windows too. i was still nervous for a while of course..but it did bring a bit more sense of security.
i just realized that you said they broke a window to get in. they sell those bar thingys that can be installed to prevent that, but i have no idea what that might cost. could be a very pretty penny.

Thanks! I will search for alarm system that we can install in the house.
