I can't even imagine that this is going to be considered. Does anyone know how this is possible? If she is unstable enough to kill her husband in cold blood how can they consider giving her her children? What do you think? Here are a couple of links in case you aren't familiar with the story.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Winkler http://www.wkrn.com/nashville/news/mary-winkler-back-in-court-wants-custody-of-girls/92428.htm http://cashfromyourcomputer.blogspot.com/

I haven't followed her story as much as I'd like to. But I remember hearing about her living in an abusive environment with her deceased husband. I would think that the courts would have to decide if she were stable enough to have full custody of her kids. I would hope she was receiving counseling for the abuse and for the killing she committed. Also, I think the kids are old enough to know if they WANT to be with her, know what I mean? I think the grandparents have custody last I heard anything. This is a real heartbreaking situation. I would hope that IF they do give her custody, that she is held accountable to someone everyday and that she is under constant supervision.

you have got to from were I am to know about this story. I think that she should be able to get her children back, not at this time. She needs to get alot of cousanly (sp) before she can even think about this. It is hard to believe that the courts would even think about it.

Well she can try for anything, she has a right to, but that doesn't mean she will get it. I don't see any judge in their right mind that would grant her that. Not right now any way. That's just my opinion though.
