TV Show Today

Has anyone noticed how dark a lot of the TV shows are today, dark not only on the eye some may as well be film in black and white, they are so violent, killing, vampires, strange out of this world type of shows, all very negative, I hate all this depressive output there just doesn't seem to be happy shows anymore, television is in a very dark dismal stage at the moment....

Yes, you said it lilaclady. Tv serials, even songs are more focussed on misunderstanding, sorting differences by means of fighting etc. TV serials have reached such a disgusting low, there is no understanding between the characters and instead of trying to clear it out they just fight or kill each other. Even if it is fiction, all this has effect on our minds. I don't like watching anything than Cartoons and Discovery channel these days.

yeh I think the only family show on these days is the simpsons and that is a bit sus I reckon...

It feels like that's the norm these days. I remember how they would put on the happy cartoons and funny classic shows, but the only we get to see of that is the shows for the very little kiddies. The times are changing - maybe for the worse with the television :B

Yes I noticed that too. I grew up watching Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley...shows like that. Even the movies were lighter and more fun. Now its like society can't get enough of the horrors. I admit I like a good scary movie but I do wonder about the affect this is having on kids today.

They're running out of stuff to do! Yes, I agree. Where is the easy going feel good stuff on tv?
