I remember in Jakarta, Indonesia I found several building with no 4th Floor. I went in the elevator, and i noticed there's no number 4 button. I know in other places sometimes no 13th Floor. They put 12A and 12B then jumped to 14. the elevator guy said it has to do something with Chinese Feng-shui, number 4 is like a "dead end" number...Does anybody know why is that, amybe mylotters from China? Thank's

I had a korean friend once who said that to them, the number 4 is bad luck and that it is also common for their buildings to not have 4th floors. So I guess, Korea and Indonesia share this same belief.

I don't know about that. That building owner is Chinese descendent. I'm Indonesian and i'm pretty sure number 4 is not bad luck.

I think it is superstition only. In our quarters we have many 13 number houses like A13, B13 etc. People who are residing there are all happy only.
