The Unit has become one of my favorite shows on tv. Dennis Haysbert is one of my favorite actors. I don't think the show gets the recognition it deserves, in my opinion. At first I did not think I would like it because I thought it would only deal with war, but it is so much more. It delves into the private lives of these courageous men who put their lives on the line every day(without recognition, since they are a covert operation), and it shows that their task is sometimes a thankless one. The cast is a stellar one also. I would hope that some of you would give it a look since I see that it is returning for the new season. You will be in for a treat!

I really wish that you would give it a chance, sigma. I know that I sound like a one-woman publicity campaign for the show, but I hate to see such a good show being overlooked when it is very worthwhile. In a genre that doesn't have a whole lot to offer these days, The Unit is a pearl among swine.

I too watch the Unit, It is one of my favorite shows,You are so right,This is a very great show.These men do put their lives on the line every day.And their wives go through alot also, while they are gone on these secret missions.I look forward to watching this show in the new season.

You are so right, sunkissed. There are so many useless shows on tv these days that I rejoice when I come across one gem such as this. I love the way the everyday lives of the wives are open for the viewer's inspection. This adds so much to the meaning of the show. I, too, look forward to the beginning of the new season.
