Okay I am making Creamed Chipped Beef for dinner served over toast. But my problem is this is the first time I have ever made it. So I need some ideas of what I could make for side dishes to go with it. It would have to be something simple and that I would most likely have in my house. Because I don't have time to run to the store. Can you help? I need ideas?

I've never had this before. I'll have to see if I can find a recipe for it and try it. Thanks for the suggestion. By the way, even though I've never had it...I think I'd say a nice veggie or salad with it. AT PEACE WITHIN ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

cooked celery 6-7 celery stalks, washed & cut into 1" slices diagonally Water (sufficient to nearly cover) 3 tbsp. maple syrup 3/4 tsp. dillweed 1 tbsp. butter 1 env. vegetable broth, optional No extra salt Bring to a boil and then simmer until celery is tender to taste. If desired, begin with less water, stir occasionally and simmer until water is nearly gone. Serve as a side-dish to accompany white or yellow potatoes and a protein main dish. This recipe is filling and flavorful. Maple and dill complement each other.

We always just heated up some vegetables to go with it. I'm sorry I didn't get to this sooner.
