How Jaded Are People With America's Local, State and National Leaders?

I was just wondering something. Here at MyLot there is a huge cross section of people. Conservatives, Liberals, Moderates; People from all over the world. People with all different backgrounds, religions, cultures. People whose very thought processes make for a great exchange of ideas here. There are statements whose answers say more about the people answering them than the questions they raise or answers themselves. How would you answer this statement: The Local, State and National Leaders of the United States would gladly see your children murdered and your mother raped, if it guaranteed reelection for them.
