Whoops! Yeah, they're quick little suckers. A friend of mine in high school got one and it was always under a bed/in a closet/hiding somehwere. I never understood why someone would want one as a pet-they're not the cutest/cuddliest little creatures :) They also don't smell very good.... Why don't you get a puppy! :D

Awww, that's too bad. I really hope the little fellow show up soon. What do ferrets eat? Maybe you can put a tasty treat out for him and coax him from his hiding place...good luck!

hi! I'm what you'd call a "ferret expert" I hope you have found your ferret by now, if you haven't the best tools are a product called "furovite" and a squeaky pet toy. Ferrets respond to particular sounds better than others, they don't have very good homing capabilities, and can easily be lost. Ferretproofing your house should be like childproofing your house, finding all the things they could get into, and fixing it before you let your ferret get loose in the house:) if a ferret can get their heads through it, they can get their entire body through it! and to whomever says ferrets aren't cute? they are by FAR the best pets and they are adorable in my honest opinion....

I hope you have found your ferret by now! However, like others have stated, you really must ferret proof your home! When I first got my ferrets, I trained them to "Come on command" by giving them a special treat every time I rang a little bell. It worked like a charm. Once, one somehow got out of the house. I went outside, rang the bell, and she came running over (Thank goodness!) Ferrets are quick little guys, and can squeeze into the darndest places. Good luck!!!
