Do you live to WORK, or do you work to LIVE?

This may probably be a question that would be hard to answer. But most of us have gone through our lives juggling five balls, work, family, friends, spirit, and health. Most often than not, work is a rubber ball, it bounces back when you drop it. But the other four are made of glass. Once dropped, they will forever be shattered. During the past years, I realized, I had been living only to work. Earning was a priority and I had neglected the other four balls. Good thing, I caught them before they completely fell and broke. Now, am balancing everything, it does not matter if I would have to start all over again in a new job. What is important is that my family is safe and sound. And those that really matter the most, are held safe.

i would prbobly say I work to live... not just for my own sake, but for my family's sake as well. you're right there should be a what you call work and life balance, wherein you should not take for granted yourself, families, and friends remember, they are the one's you go to whenever your down or work pisses you off... you may not see it during your busy days but by the time you get to need them they are always there for support, guidance, and love... even if if you are the poorest person in the world...

point well said. the people that matter the most would always be there when everything else is topsy turvy and they don't care if you're penniless to start with. am glad u have found ur own balance as well. tc

I work to earn money for food and by eating food we live. God made Adam and Eve but while they did not care about God then God give Adam and Eve hunger and so they did not get food then God gave them food. God sent them from heaven to earth with curse for their misdeeds and said that "you will have to work hard for food and living". So it is our encient curse that we have to work for living not we live for work.
