Look at the picture of that little girl. She was sweet and darling. She was only two years old. Please do notice that I use the past tense. A disturbed man that was completely perverted and sick in the head harmed her. He took a picture of her lower half on his cell phone, and then he raped her. When he was done, he strangled her. She was not his child. She was the little girl of his brother, who he lived with at the time. The next morning the little girl was found by her mother, who was so upset. This was little girl that trusted the man. He was her family member, she thought he loved her and would always take care of her. But look what he did to her. Please, read the entire article: http://pysih.com/2007/07/11/michael-mullen/ This makes me want to cry so much. She was a cute, happy, healthy little girl with parents that loved her so much. She had her whole life ahead of her. This kind of thing happens all the time. Things like this didn't use to happen like this 100 years ago. Now, it happens constantly. Why? Why have people turned into the kind of monsters that would harm a precious gift like this little girl? What can we do to stop it? I'm sick of it.

There is nothing 'man' about the guy. Anyone who would molest children is horribly disturbed. Anyone who actually hurt them deserves no mercy, and anyone who rapes and kills his own infant family members needs to be strangled with his own intestines. As to the 'no one did this one hundred years ago..' yes they did... and did so all throughout nhistory. The only difference is they couldn't take pictures before and after.

This is truly sick. Some people are like that. God only knows why, because I certainly don't. Poor child, poor parents.

That just made me so sick to my stomach! How can anyone do something so horrible to ANYONE, let alone a poor defenseless little toddler? It's just beyond me. I think the whole thing with the alleged rape of the teenager should have tipped off the family to the guy's problems from the start. And maybe it did, but they didn't want to admit it. As far as I am concerned, the uncle should have his male parts removed from his body and then be turned loose in the general population of the prison, with all of the inmates knowing about what he did to his niece. Let him find out what it's like to be hurt and maimed.

what a horrible story. just reading it gave me the chills. Some people are sick and evil. He was one of them. He should get life not years. I think the article says he gets 35 years in prison. That ain't long enough. she was only a toddler and couldn't stop him. I hate our authorities sometimes and the way they think. if i were the judge I would have gave that evil man life in prison. What a sick man, he don't diserve anything less. I hope he's torchered in person by other inmates. Sick thats my two cents. :(

Oh my lord! The little girl was so tiny and so precious! How could a cruel animal do this to her!?!? Today some people are just so sick in the head to even IMAGINE doing something to harm another human let alone a little child. Now since I had my daughter, everytime I hear stories like this I just hold my baby girl so close and try my hardest to protect her.

Your're right. this is very disturbing and sad. I don't think anyone has any answers on how to stop it. It is hard to understand what drives a person to commit such henious acts. What really amazes me is the short prison terms these people get and are released back into society still every bit as dangerous as they were before. I think if anything, much stricter laws for these people might help some. Some of them leave prison openly admitting that they can't help themselves and haven't changed and yet because of our wonderful judicial system, there is nothing to be done but let them walk.

I can't believe this, he should of got life in prison or worse. It hurts the family even more because he was family and did that to his neice. I can't believe this ever happened! I don't know if there is anything we can do - he was family and family is who we trust the most with our children over strangers - this is terrible!
