Do you have teens? Ugh I do!

I have 2 teens well teen and pre-teen and they are driving me bonkers! My oldest is a girl (14 going on 40) and my other child is a boy (12 going on 2) and they are always wanting to kill each other. To make matters worse my hubby (not my kids dad) also acts like my son! Grrr! Its summer time get outside! Don't get me wrong I love my kids and my hubby but boy today someone is going to get it! I just had to vent. Feel free to share your "I am going to lose my mind on them" vents too!

I had 3 kids that were all teens at the same time. I would very happily have strangled them at times...LOL
They would fight alot as well. I got to the point that I would make them go out in the backyard to fight. I would set up a chair and my coffee and sit like I'm just gonna watch. "If you're gonna fight, I'm gonna be comfortable for the show" I told them. It was amazing how many fights didn't happen when I did this.

LOL! For my youngest that might work. He doesn't like to fight in front of me. But for my oldest she could care less. If she wants to kill him she will whether I am there or not. Oh the joys of parenthood! And then my hubby wants to know why I don't want anymore *rolls eyes*

I was reminded of another thing you can try...
When they start to fight, make them say 5 nice things about each other and hug. Or a kiss on the cheek. If they don't they will sit in the chair until they do.
There's NO worse torture than saying nice things about your sibling and huggung...LOL

Yep I have 2 myself and let me tell you, theya re still up and arguying left and right. I feel like I have to yell so I can hear myself talk. I tell you, specially in this hot weather, it is the worse. I sometimes go in my room and put the AC on and the TV loud and try to ignore it all. I think you should try it :).

I dont have teens yet. I'm dreading those days! Right now its like I have 3 toddlers though. I have a 4 year old and 2 year old and 26 year old(my husband) lol. they fight too and the 4 year old is getting mouthy from hanging out with a mouthy little neighbor girl. I fully understand those "tear my hair out" days! Hope tomorrow is a better day for you.
