What do you guys think?

I'm brutally critical of myself even though I know I'm just a casual photo taker (though I would love to get "better" and more skilled)....Anyway, I was goin through some photos that I took on the 4th of July while we were waiting for the fireworks and came across this one that I thought actually turned out fairly decent....So I'd like opinions and suggestions if anyone has any....I know squat about techniques etc..I point zoom and shoot...or just point and shoot LOL (I'm workin on it though!)

That's just marvellous. So different from the usual pink and orange sunsets. I don't think I've ever seen one over water that actually captures the sun. It actually seemed to blind me. I love the way the light is captured on the water too. Very well done.

LOL! I also want to become a photographer but the cost of the equipment for this hobby is too expensive for my taste. So I just content myself with my own digicam, and it serves it purpose well:P But I do want to improve on my photography skills too, since I am also a point and shoot gal. Sometimes I experiment with angles but they don't really turn out fine.
As for your photo, it does look nice.

Well, photography is a great skill and you have to develop it well...who knows you'll be somebody someday...
