That's what happens to me...it's very weird...right now I have a headache in the right side of my head...near the back...it's just throbbing and throbbing...sometimes it stops for a while, but then it comes back again. I wish I knew what it meant. I suppose I should go to the doctor to get an opinion or two.

Trinihd, Sorry to hear that you are having headaches that are making you to worry. Maybe you are only too tired or stressed atthe moment, and your bosy is trying to tell you about it using the headache. You might also have the flu, which is manifesting with this headache. Or the cause might be again something like an allergy for some kind of food, salami is able to cause it, chocolate, and some other type of foods cause it also. I hope you'll be able to find the cause and get rid of it, as it is the worst thing if you have to live with it from now on. There is nothing worse than a heavy headache, and unfortunately I am living with such pains almost daily for the last 16 years, and it's awful. There are times that I just want to be able to cut my head off to place it on the table and to walk away from it...really. I've been given so many medications, and have been under so many examinations, and the only thing the medics are able to tell me is that I suffer from too tiny blood vessels in my brain and the blood cannot get enough "in the flow", and that this is causing it most often than not. I am expiriencing many kinds of headaches, and migraines and it's so tiring. The last once that I had yesterday was starting from behind, the last part of thehead near the neck, getting up and up spreading around and on the entire head from there on up to the bone above the eyes. It felt like a burning and pounding helmet, growing in intensity all the time. I felt so sick from it, difficult to explain it all. A year ago I've been for 3 months on a medication which was making my veins larger so that the blood flow will go better, but it only worked for more or less 3 months, and it stopped working just like all the rest that I have been given until now. Wishing you really to get the right cure and to not get it from now on, good luck +)

I feel terrible that you have such bad headaches so often. I hope there is something that can be done for your headaches. Sounds very painful and uncomfortable. All the best to you! My headache has been gone for a while. I did have a sinus "condition" prior to getting the headache so I don't know if that contributed, but at the time of the headache, I didn't have the flu or anything. That was the weird thing...and it was unlike any other headache I had had before. I am accustomed now to getting headaches when I have sinusitis or the flu, even if I don't take medication, which I think sometimes causes the headaches. Anyway, the doctor put me on antibiotics and a painkiller (Panadeine) and that seemed to work. Thanks for your concern!

Hi Trinihd, Thanks for your reply and I hope for you that these headaches will not return. You're on the high road without taking medicines, and I congratulate you with your choice which wont do for me though, or I wont be able to keep cheerily writing, or watch the TV or a movie, or listen to music. Don't feel sorry for me dear, all will be fine some day soon I hope, whene there will be some miracle cure without side effects, so I keep hoping and dreaming :)

The kind of headache you've described is called "migraine". It interests only half of the head, it's throbbing and very tiresome. You can try to use a simple analgesic and if the migraine doesn't pass with it, or if you have this problem many times in a month you can consult a doctor.

Actually it's more like one single spot that is throbbing - would you still call it a migraine? It has not happened again though, thank God! The painkillers the doctor prescribed helped to make it go away.

it is probably a type of migraine, it you get them often. i'd suggest go talking to your doctor about them, and maybe getting some meds to help the pain go away

Thanks for the suggestion! It really is quite intense...sometimes I can't help but cry out "ouch" ...this morning when I woke up, it seemed to be gone, but came back after a while. Now the pain is in my ear and in my head...weird. The doctor gave me Amoxyll and a pain killer...I'm off to fill the prescription now.
