Marriage for convenience...

Wedding - When two people wants to start a family they get married. Most girls dream of a perfect or fairy tale like wedding.

Marriage is sacred and binds when two people fall in love, isn't it? But I observed that there are people who get married just for convenience. But do you think this would work? Or this just add to a broken family?

Of course it works honey! The only reason being that when people marry for convenience, they do it solely for that purpose only “CONVENIENCE” and not to set up a family. Marriage for convenience usually takes place when one person in the pair wants to settle down in the country of the other person. For example, a guy / girl from India wants to settle in the UK. He/she gets married to a UK citizen after which his/her spouse tries to get visa and UK citizenship for that guy/girl. (this is just an example, no offence anybody, please). After that is achieved, the marriage is called off. Another reason for marriage for convenience is social elevation. Many times you will see a beautiful young girl / handsome young man marrying a RICH but old man / woman to ensconce himself / herself up the social ladder. Once they reach a certain exposure in society and come to know the right people at the right places, they dump their husbands / wives. Marriage for convenience is not for mere mortals like you and me!

I agree with you but don't you think there are marriage for convenience that spark some love between the two? Well just curious actually, because I had a friend who married a foreigner and now they have 3 kids and she claimed she love this man and don't know how did it happen.

Both your friend and her husband are lucky. But in most cases, love doest actually blossom, because both the parties know that falling in love would be such a waste or time and energy!

I don't believe in marrying for any other reason than you are madly in LOVE (not lust but love) with your partner. I don't believe in marriage for convenience, and I never understood how arranged marriages could possibly work. I believe that only you can find the person you love.

Marriage is also about beign with some one who wants the same things as you adn if you marrry for convenience then it is what the two want adn they feel it will work for them then i say more power to them at least they are truely being honest with each other.
