Just to Say I am Back

I have been away because I am taking care of my roommate's 92-year old father during the day and have little access to my computer at night because she is using my room to get a good night's rest for the next day. The father is really a handful and as we only have a two bedroom flat (her 90-year old mother is occupying her room) he sleeps in the living room (with me nearby on the floor). Anna has to work during the day and dress and take care of their needs in the spaces. I cannot move my computer to another room so I only have a few spare moments to use it. This is merely to let my friends know that I am alive and kicking and will try to come in as often as possible. There is no need to respond....advising all my friends individually would be too much of a chore so I decided on this avenue. Thanks and I pray that all is well with all myLoters.

What a task you have at hand. Do you get much rest yourself? You say you are sleeping on the floor. Huggers to you.

Hi elusive...nice to see you. Well, I guess it's one of those tasks that we are given to test us. Fortunately, the situation has improved and I am no longer sleeping on the floor but still have to sleep with one eye open just to be sure he doesn't sleepwalk and break things. He has regained some of his strength because he wants to go to his homestead and check on things. It makes our task somewhat easier. Thanks for the "huggers" and I'm retuning them. Hope to be here more often than in the past two months. +

Welcome back, my lady. So, you're telling me a month has just flashed by without me knowing? Thanks.:P

So nice to see you Your Grace. Yes, time flies when you're "having fun". It's like the little boy rabbit said to the little girl rabbit...."It won't hurt, did it?" Hope all is well with you. I'll be around for a little today to get caught up and perhaps respond to a few of my friend's discussions. I'm a little rusty so I pray that everyone will be understanding. Always a treat to see you, Your Grace. +

Glad to hear from you. I've got you, Anna and her parents in my prayers. You both have your hands full. Keep in touch whenever you can. All is well here. Get whatever rest you can and come post when you're able to do so.

Hi claudia. Things are looking up and both Ana and I have had a little respite during the time her brother was here to help out. I, especially, welcomed the visit as it gave me more free time to get out of the house and I took advantage of it because I knew that he would be returning to France and I would have little time for myself. Thanks for your prayers...I appreciate them. Every little bit helps. I am hoping that my male ward will take a long nap so that I can at least get up to date. Âlways nice to see you.

Glad to see you back gifana, even though I am slightly late in responding. Footy season starts again soon, so I look forward to our little chats:0) Take care x

Thanks for the encouragement. Actually things have improved somewhat. The 92 year old is on the road to recover his strength and is not as onery as he was. He is more helpful, in fact, because he wants to gain his strength to go up country to check on his property. His son was also visiting from France and that seemed to bolster his spirits. However, he is still a handful and affords me very little time to be in my room on the computer. He's sleeping now so I have some time. Thanks for dropping by and for your thoughts.

I had been thinking of you. YOu do have your hands full there. I know, I often take care of hubby's grandma who has Alzheimer's and it's quite a job! Glad to know that all is ok with you although there's a log on your plate right now. Come when you can, it's always a pleasure to find you here.
