I was responding to another discussion about the etiology of the phrase "God bless you" when someone sneezes. I had to change my preferences because it said my response contained mature content! Please tell me what is contained in this post that constitutes mature content: "This response actually originated in the Middle Ages. The belief was that when a person sneezes, the heart stops briefly. God bless you meant that your heart started again, and during that brief heart-stopping moment God did not allow evil spirits to snatch away your soul. It also became a blessing against diseases such as Scarlet Fever, from which many people died due to lack of effective medical care." How in the world is that response mature content??

I wonder what they consider mature, that God blesses you when someone sneezes, or is it the mention of God, or rather that there is actually God that blesses you? To me, when little children have faith in God, I cannot understand what myLot was thinking of when it made this rule. I was wondering whether you have contact myLot to find out. Another thing about the phrase, I heard it had something to do with the bubonic plague, and when people sneezed, others thought they had caught the plague and God bless you, prevented them from getting the plague.
