If you want to get a lot of responses to your discussions I think the key is to have a lot of friends. My discussions usually have at least 20-30 responses, and usually a lot more, because I have almost 1,000 friends. One reason I think we aren't making as much money as before is because there are so many members now. The money has to be distributed to more people. I am here on Mylot because I like having discussions, I have yet to make minimum payout, but that doesn't really matter to me. I usually make about 20-40 cents a day if I am active.

First of all, doing this for the money is futile! You aren't going to make enough to matter. You need to give yourself some boundaries as to how much time you are going to spend and then just do what you can do and not focus on how much you make. Secondly, when you respond, put a little thought and effort into it because that seems to make more. And, make sure you post topics of your own regularly that get responses. That also seems to make a difference. I know that some people on here seem to spend a huge amount of time and manage to get paid every month. However, if all you are making is $10 or so in a month, that's not a very wise use of your time. If you want to make more money on the internet for less time, let me know. I participate in several things that get me money and gift cards. Again, it's not going to be a huge amount of money. If it were that easy to earn a living on the internet, everyone would be doing it and leaving their regular jobs. As long as you look at this for what it is and don't get frustrated with the small payout, you'll be fine. But if you are putting 4 or 5 hours a day into this site, you could easily find a part time job and do much better financially.

Well if they are making money by how many times a add is viewed than it would stand ot reason having more people on mylot would mean that mylot is making more money so why cut everyones earnings. I havent really been keeping a close eye on hw much they have changed but I did however think that they must have dropped because I been typing my butt off and got maybe 25 cents. I didnt come here for the money but it was a nice little bonus to get something for putting your two cents in but now it seems our two cents isnt worth two cents to mylot...lol.

The money is getting less and less here on mylot, I have seen this same discussion so many times. If the pay does not get back to what it used to be, there will be more and more people leaving this site. That is why there are not as many actice members now as there used to be.You used to be able to make some spending money on this site at least. It is not that way anylonger. So no, it rerally is not even worth spending very much time here at all.

I am new here this is my first day and if what you say is true no it will not be worth it to me to spend that much time here for a few cents.. I am not here for the money either but they should make it more than just a few cents..

Sometimes yes it's worth it sometimes it makes you wonder. I think i do alot more reading on this site than i do responding to post. Reason for that is because I am still fairly new to this site and want to make money. So i read threw what people have to say and what they do to make the money they make here. I did read if you were to write 4 lines of text you can make 1 cent but if you write up to 7 lines of text to a response you make up to 3 cents. I do find this very true because i did make over 10 cents yesterday. I always try to look for post that i know i can write more than 4 lines too. Don't waste your time on answering with one or two lines of text you won't make anything by that.. I have found sense being here their isn't much to choose from on topic wise and I don't like to make ton's of posts either unless it's something interesting. I get alot of topics in my e-mail that just one answer and i won't respond to them even though they are on my friends list.. like i said i want something i can write on and make over 7 lines of text.. I hope this helps.

The earnings are getting lower and lower.I think the more people joining the community the lower payments are.I wasnt on here that long yesterday and cant remember how many discussions i responded to.My earnings was 3 cent.9 months ago the earnings were higher where i can say i would get 2-5 dollars a day not anymore it is waaaaaaaaay less.

yeah.. i've definitely noticed that my earnings are getting smaller and smaller despite the number of posts i make. like the others, i think because there are more members signing up everyday, that the payment for each post has become less and less.. I don't hope that one day, i would just be earning a cent for 100 posts i make a day... then that would really suck big time. =D

I think many of the people who sign up and ask themselves this question, take a look around and then say this is it. This is why there is only soandso many active members. I have been paid two month in a row around ten dollar. It was a lot of typing. In the Western world it is impossible to live on ten dollars for a couple of hours of work a day. So I get credited now even less. I got to earn a living. tThis makes it clear that mylot is a past time, it is fun but the use has to be limited to spare time. From the standpoint of fun, making friends, exchanging ideas and learning things mylot sure is worth it.

My opinion, and you asked for it. Two teaspoons of snake oil taken daily would benefit you more than any money you could make on mylot.
