Do you recognize your favorite/least favorite Mylotters by their icon or name?

I was thinking about this as I was looking through some discussions that my "friends" started and realized that if someone on my friends list changed their icon, I wouldn't "recognize" them anymore! I don't know many of the names of my "friends". I recognize them solely on their icons! I'm sure this is because I am very much a visual learner and person, so learn best through pictures. Maybe after a while I will do a better job at connecting the names with the pictures, but for now I hope my friends do not change their pictures!!
Am I alone in this? Do you know your friends by their pictures only? Would it throw you off if they changed their icon?

Yes it throws me off all the time when they change it. I have one friend, no need to mentions names, that has changed hers I think 4 times this week. Really keeps me on my toes, LOL. Fortunately for all, I have friends posts sent to my email so I can keep up with them. I am afraid if I didn't I would have lost many of them in the shuffle never to reply to them again :oD

Yes, that would completely throw me off if one of my friends changed their avatar! Actually, I do have one friend who changes his occasionally, but they're pretty recognizable as him. A major change would really confuse me. :)

I really don't mind if they change their avatar because I can still recognize their names. I don't have a favorite but I like those who participate in my discussions. They know who they are. Thank you so much for your support!(",)

Most of my friends I recognize by their names. But others which I don't talk to very often I only recognize by their avatars. I know I just changed my avatar a couple of weeks ago and it threw some people off. But I think my friends have gotten used to my new avatar.

Yes i recognized people here through their pictures rather than names. Im good on photographic memory than memorizing names. No, I will not throw them off if they change their their icon no big deal on me, it would be nicer to see more pictures of them. =D
