The others have already given you good tips, so I'll just add two small things: have fun, and look for inspiration in many places.

You do not need to go to school to be a great artist. It is in you, or it isn't. I am a renowned artist around the globe, and I started art at 2 years old. It is my passion.
www.mgcreativearts.com is my website. I watercolor, and am a rare scissor cuttter, a lost art. I work with all mediums, and am self taught.
So, if you love it, just keep practicing and experimenting. Good luck sugar.

You need to practice..watching others is also a good way to learn, but you will have to go to school eventually to become educated about certain techniques..good luck

thanks, for the advise i'm learning the techniques because i am taking some art lessons at home but, thats going so slow, i want to learn more and was hoping i didn't have to attend school as well. That's what i keep hearing lots of practice... i guest i'll start doing more of that.
