Is it safe to post discussions which can invite heating arguments in myLot?

I have read some discussions in myLot which invite a lot of maddening arguments. Well, I have posted a few discussions that invite arguments, too, but not to the point where the myLot folks will respond and then curse me or call me names because they most disagree about what I posted. I am very much intrigued whether some myLot folks are just deliberately posting discussions that can provoke antagonism or infuriation from the readers for the mere reason of getting responses from them… or they are just openly discussing what they think and feel about some matters. Do you have any opinions about this? They have rights, do they?

As far as I am concenred, I would like to avoid topics which is going to generate heat and heated responses. We are not parliamentarians. We should avoid the topics related to criticisms of individual country, particular religion or race.

i agree with you.. i mean, we are entitled to our own opinions but it's rather rude to be tactless, right? people too have feelings, don't they? i think if we want to criticize or let our opinions be known, we should choose the right words so that it won't inflame the readers.

You are absolutely right. Whatever one wanted to say, can be said in a nice way with appropriately worded sentences instead of hurting others sentiments.

No it's not and it's a shame when you give your opinion on a topic there are a bunch of people who will hit the negative button and bring down your ratings simply because they disagree with your opinion. It's not even worth it.

Hi there. Look I think if you have knowledge on a certaint topic, I think you should post away, if anyone gets annoy with it, then its there problem, after all this is what postings all about. If a post is going to offend someone they should not respond or if they do, respond back with there opinion and in a peaceable manner... Thats my views anyway...

i agree with you. why stoop down to the level of those who post insulting discussions, right? might as well ignore them. it'll just cause a fight if you respond in a harsh manner. i suggest to leave them be.
