I am just done with my engineering now, so college life is just over!!!sigh..:( and as far as my work life is concerned I am yet to experience it, waiting to join my concern!! But I am sure it'll be a hectic life... And now when I am made to chose one between my school life and college, it just makes me compare both. I would always say, MY COLLEGE LIFE WAS INDEED MY BEST DAYS!!!!! It was so much of fun, Missing everyone a lot!!I want those days to be back forever!!! Memories are indeed everlasting!!!We had a blast on the last day of our college... The next day when I( alone) went to the college, seeing the classrooms empty, kinda became nostalgic.. filled my eyes with tears... Wish there were few more days left!!! You might say, I am rude, but to be frank, I never experienced any of these feelings when I departed from school!! Infact was happy that school life was over and something better is waiting for me!! I just feel, friends made all the difference!!! So, what you guys and gals feel? school or college or work life? Which is the best??

I feel college life was the best period of my life. There were hardly any responsibilities and i could do what i wanted to. At times i do miss my college life since i had a large group of friends and we used to loiter around, go for movies, discos, picnics, it was so much fun. Now in my work life there are so many responsibilities, can hardly meet my old friends. You won't believe but all of my friends are scattered and am not in touch with any of them :(. Some have got married and have their own responsibilities, some have gone abroad for better career opportunities. Well that's how life is i guess my dear friend :)

ya.. you are right!! During the last days of our college, we made promises to stay in touch with each other under any circumstances, and just few months are over since we decided and I hardly have contacts with say, 10 or 15 among our whole gang of 64 guys!!!

I used to have a group of 78 friends in my college. And in NIIT where i studied computer programming for 3 years, i had a group of 29 friends. Really at times i still miss those days, which i presume will never come in this life atleast. :)

Hello immortalsecrets! Welcome to mylot! even if you have joined three weeks back I hope I can still say that:-) I am also glad that you are an engineer, as I am to an engineer! I think every phase of life has it's own charms and fun. But to be honest I too didn't like going to school much. Probably it was because I was too shy a boy and introvert that I didn't like seeing many people. My intermediate college was also fun but there were also worries about if I would be able to make it to engineering college/university. My best time of life was my engineering university. It's there I slowly started to change from a strictly introvert person to a more balanced one. Thanks to my friends, I was able to mix well with people around. I also enjoyed it because I had went through a very drastic period of changes i my life, social, personal, religious, spiritual and political. I was still going through changes but had acquired a relatively stable state. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there from studies to fun everything was enjoyable with friends. We used to discuss academic problems in detail and it made my studies interesting for me. Often there were challenges even with the teachers and I enjoyed the output always. We usually got together almost every day and especially on weekends at someone's place or outside. We ate, traveled, went on vacations, visited professional institutes and organizations, roamed about, made trips to historical and leisure places all together. I believe that it was due to my friends that this period was the most enjoyable period of my life. My job was also enjoyable again thanks to friends there. But in job, one realizes that he/she got responsibilities and the fun period, while being still there, is not as free and 24/7 as it was in university. If I haven't had a great partner that is part of my life now and who makes my life even more enjoyable, I probably would like to go back to my engineering university period:-) Best of luck in your job, I hope it will be an enjoyable experience for you there too:-)

The best part of life is college days. Who like to spend fast, the youthful days. I love to be in college for longer period (without increase in age). But for spending money, I like the period of earning.

Thats true... Thinking about the irony of life!!! in college we had enough friends.. enough time to freak out with them, but financial crisis was a barrier then..Our pocket money, piggy bank accounts hardly served the purpose!! Later on , we might have money, we'll not have time to share with them!!! Occasional get-togethers, parties can only be expected!!!

I'll be going into my 3rd year (out of 4) in college in September. I'd definitely choose college. My coursework isn't that heavy and you have lots of free time to do what you want.

I think the college life is sweeter than any other life. But different stages in the life is inevitable. That is the law of the nature. But after college life, when we start to earn with the work what we are doing, we like the present. Because the present will be rewarding more than the past. But the college life has so much of sweet memories in everybodys life. In that stage most everybody will become mature. All are curious about everything. Accrue a lot of knowledge. And the College life wil be remembered for ever with sweet memories. I think the college days will be remembered more than the wedding days or Honeymoon days.

Almost every incident, in college, looks so special to me now!! Those chats, comments passed on lecturers, lunch hours in canteen and classrooms, bunks to movies.... late night chats, last minute preparation for exams..hmmmm... SIGH!!!! Well I am just looking forward for a similar work life atleast for the friends and fun part of it, though there are less chances for it...

I've given up my college life to work, because I thought if I would be independent I will be happier, but the fact is, college life is really the best.. Sometimes I do regret my decision, and I really miss the times when all my troubles are only about grades, papers, reports, and allowance. Right now I worry about more serious stuffs, like career path, bills to pay, insurance, etc.

i am a working professional now and I had been through all the three phases as mentioned by you. Frankly, I enjoyed both the conditions i.e. school life and college life and am now enjoying the work life as well. I too think of my past days and feel that those days were better than now. But it is a human tendency, the grass on the onter side of the fence always looks greener.

Well, I didn't experience college like you had, but I sure enjoy my University period. I won't miss it much, since I chose to continue with an academic career, so I applied to PhD. in two universities and I await their answer. About choosing... I don't think I have too much to choose - I have a career, I study in the university and I am still in touch with school, since I teach kids math and science... Guess I'm lucky, to taste all three worlds at once, ha? ;) Congratulations for you engineering graduate.

you know what is human tendency what we have we won't appreciate that rather we will crave for what we don't have. just for example,if we are in school we wish to be grown up soon and work as our papa and mama.we think they have more happy days and are free from homework and studies.then comes college days,we think god either let me be a kid again or make me a responsible person. don't want to do these horrible things just to get a good job.i am in the middle and i don't like these days.then comes the professional life.here again we cry and say ohhh god i wish i were a kid, atleast i won't have so much of responsibility on me. so all these are different phases of our life and all of them have their own charm.i love all my days be it school days.college days or professional life as now.and i have enjoyed them to full extent.

I would say that it all has it's benefits. School days, prior to adulthood is great because you have the freedom of no responsibilities! College days you have the freedom of being on your own a bit (if you live on campus). Work life you have the freedom to make your own path in life. All of them too have their disadvantages. I don't really think there is a "best days of your life" because every day really should be great...as well as you make it.

For me they are all different experinces. When I was in school it was fun but there was a lot of restrictions about many things. I had my time table for every single thing. In college it was fun because I had freedom in life and I started learning what life is exactly. The best I like is now when I am earning. I have my own job and I can do what I want to in my own way,so all three are very different in every way. I enjoyed all of them at all times and had new experinecs withe ach of them.
