Have you ever cried in a chapel?

The first time I ever cried in a chapel was during the day when I got rejected from an interview of this particular organization. I was sobbing hysterically and hiccupping like crazy; fortunately, there were no people around. Then I found myself talking resentfully to God and questioning Him. After a while, it seemed like all the weight I was feeling vanished. I was surprised. Perhaps God was there beside me, soothing the pain.

I cried once in a chapel with few people around. It was when my relationship was on the rocks. I didn't questioned God but instead i ask for strength and enlightenment whether to pursue the relationship or not. I was asking for reconciliation but my ex is giving up our long distance relationship. Afterwards i realized maybe it was for the better and i feel so light after all the crying. =D

i agree with you. it does make you feel better when you cry your heart out.. especially when you're talking to God and asking for guidance and comfort.. i think we don't have to be embarrassed about that even when there are people inside the church.. :)

I left the Church at an early age, because I couldn't believe what they were telling me.Organised Religion is a Man-made Business. The bottom line is Money and Power. The Catholic Church has spent billions paying off lawsuits of Bishops, and Priests who diddled little boys and girls. They tried to cover it up for Years, but it kept growing (like a Cancer) and finally was brought to the Light. Most other denominations have the same problem, but to a lesser extent. I Can't help but wonder, why People continue to ignore this Religious Disease. Perhaps its because they have grown up with it and are too lazy to think for themselves.Or Perhaps God is there to sooth the Pain of this Blight on the Church. What do you think?

I don't see why you should leave the Church because of the "disease" you're calling. I mean, you're not actually there to serve the church, right? You're there because of God. So the church does this and that. You don't have to believe or follow any of that. You can always go to church and attend mass and think of God. Never mind if others around you commit sin because of their secret activities. As long as you're clean, God will know you don't belong in those people who are involved in that "disease".. You go to church for God. :)
