MVP vs. Matt Hardy at the Bash

United States

Well, for those who watched Smackdown or not but thought this would happen anyway, this match has been signed for the Bash. It's for the United States title and this could be the match that has Matt win his highest title to date. To my knowledge, the highest he won was the European Championship. He hasn't been a single champ since being Cruiserweight Champion 4 years ago, though I didn't like that and thought it was dumb having him hold it in the 1st place. MVP has been on a roll when the gold has been on the line and it seems like nothing has stopped him yet. I think Matt might win and besides it's time to get some face champions out there. Most of the champs are heels, in fact now 7 out of 9 champions are currently heel. I would like to see more of a balance in that but that is me. Now I'm not discrediting MVP at all as he is a good athlete and is coming along a lot better than I thought he would since he debuted with the WWE. I think this could make a good rivarly and have the title change between the two a couple times or so making you think anything can happen instead of it being obvious who will win exactly. Personally, I'd like to see Matt get it as he is due to have a singles run. He's done a lot in the tag team division and this could be a great step. I would have never imagined him getting up into the Heavyweight Title ranks but this could very well work. Mysterio got up there and he weighs less than Matt so it actually is possible to do such a thing. I think this will be a good match without question and I expect to be something special. I like a match that can be good no matter the length. If it is entertaining, it will be fine in the end. I might go far as to say this could very well be one of the single top matches on the entire card. Who are you picking to win and who would you like to see win and why?

Its highly unlikely that MVP will lose the title now. WWE would like to still keep the title with MVP for a longer period. MVP just beat Ric Flair and thats been credited as his biggest win till date. So i do not think that WWE had him winning against Ric Flair just to lose the title to Matt Hardy. I feel they are building up MVP's status as a quality heel wrestler and that would mean the title stays where it is for some more time.

I think when it comes to the Flair victory, it's no big deal since just about everyone seems to beat him. Maybe it could go in a title trade a little bit. I think he could still lose the belt and it won't hurt him in the end. It'll work out.

Everyone beats Ric flair these days thats why i don't like him but still WWE keeps regarding him highly. I think he is just there to have others make a name for themselves by beating him. But WWE credits him as hall of famer so i think thats why they try and rate a win over Ric flair highly. About MVP, he is probably the best heel to hold the U.S. Title in terms of cockiness. So lets see whether WWE keeps MVP's regin going or gives Matt Hardy a chance to relive his dreams.

I think Matt, deserves to have a good run in the singles area, and someone needs to take down MVP, and shut him up, yeh he has SOME talent, but Matt has had to work for it. I think it would be a good thing for him to win.

I think so too. I think he could make an interesting champ if given the chance. MVP could very well get it back later but I'm curious to see if Matt could run with a singles title. It would be his highest title to date.

MVP he is the future. Matt Hardy is good but he belong with his brother Jeff. MVP might be hated, but i like him. I think he has better stage presents than Matt Hardy. I do not think that WWE would let there new star lose right now. He would have to lose to someone like Batista, not Matt Hardy. The only thing I could see out of a lose would be to set up a match between Edge and MVP, but that will not happen, well not yet.
