Do you think it is a good idea to borrow money from a friend?

I have this one friend that borrows money from me all the time, but never lets me borrow money from him. I think it depends on the friend :D

I think it can be a good idea as long as you have every intention of paying them back asap. I don't borrow money from friends only because of my pride. I dont want anyone to know that I'm not able to handle life on my own. And also because you never know what can come up - I don't want to promise anyone that I'll be able to pay them back and not be able to as quickly as I first thought. And also I don't like for anyone to have anything to hold over my head. I just avoid the situation. I think the real question should be - should you lend money to friends? My answer would be no...not unless I could trust them with everything in me....like my best friend of 10 years - anyone else - I don't think so.

No, because u'll have to pay him back when he wants it, and if you dont, he'll get pissed.

Well if you have the need, there isnt any shame in doing that Sharing is caring after all you arent stealing you are just borrowing! A friend in need is a friend indeed

Not unless both friends (to stay friends) write up a written, understanding "contract". Look at the borrower's past to see if this is a good idea before going thru with it.

Of course not,it ruins the friendship. I'm speaking from my experience and I'll never borrow or loan $ from a friend.
