Cooking or Eating - which are you more proficient in?

Some people enjoy cooking. They would cook and cook but they never eat after cooking. This is probably because they eat while they are cooking. LOL. Some people do not cook, even with a recipe, they cannot cook. They prefer to eat what has been cooked and then give their opinions, whether they are asked for it or not. I am no chef, so I prefer to eat instead of cook. Friends, which do you prefer? To cook or to eat? Which are you more proficient in? Cook, Eat, or Both? Kindly share your thoughts :)

If I try hard enough, I should be able to cook well enough. However, I haven't really learned or seriously tried cooking. I just know how to eat and hopefully appreciate. So definitely, I am only proficient at eating.:)

I cook and I eat. But I prefer eating. I'm neither a good cook nor a bad cook. I have my own specialty which I can whip up within minute. Cooking tends to take too much of my time since I need to prepare the ingredients and clean everything afterwards. There will be times that I don't feel like cooking at all.

Sure bighead. It's $50 bucks if you like to have my recipe. Mind you, those are recipes that was passed on to me from my father. :)

50 pesos and it becomes my copyright? cheap cheap :p Hey, friend, I am not that mean. You get to keep that recipe and start your own restaurant. Just a description will do. Hope it is not carrot soup.

Understand the "arduous" tasks associated with cooking. When I cook, I only cook. I don't prepare and wash. lol. Care to share your specialty?

I like to do both pal , I like to cook and I taste as I go along , this is a must lol as you have to know if it tastes OK , I do love to eat to (and it shows too) I love to cook for my family and see them enjoy what I make , I also love to teach my grandchildren how to cook and bake , they would rather eat it lol , I think cooking is becomming a dying art as so many people would rather go to fast food places xxx

I actually love to cook... but I find with the job and family and all the related responsibilities, it often becomes just a chore. That makes it less interesting to me. However, I do go on tangents where I'll spend a whole day baking and I'll freeze everything so we have home-baked goods for quite some time... or I'll make big batches of chili or spaghetti sauce or other "useful" favorites. I like preparing food for entertaining too. I enjoy eating, to a point, but especially enjoy it when I'm invited out to dinner at someone ELSE's house LOL It's always a well-appreciated break :)

Nothing to me beats eating the food than cooking it. I have never been one that enjoys cooking, at times if its easy to prepare, but most of the time I enjoy eating what I do cook LOL My husband is the better cook in our family and I always looking forward to the weekends when he cooks for us.

I enjoy cooking and unfortunately for my waist line I enjoy eating. I eat both during cooking to make sure everything is tasting okay and then I eat the meal that I prepared. As far as being a chef I have never professionally trained. I have been told that the food that I prepare is excellent and that I should go to cooking school so that I become licensed as a professional chef. This however is not a goal of mine. I would rather pursue this as a hobby that I am good at. Also I am looking at preparing foods that are both good to eat and can help with weight loss.

I am the person that is perfectly happy with microwavable stuff. So, obviously, I am not the cook in the family. I leave that job to my hubby. Don't get me wrong...I can cook if I decide to put my mind to it, but I usually don't like putting my mind to it very often. LOL

I love to eat food that I like the taste of. I know what I like so I know how to cook dishes that I will enjoy. I cook many different ethnic styles of food including, Greek, Italian, French, Indian, Thai, English and American fare. There is nothing I wont try to cook or eat. I should weigh four hundred pounds, but I stop eating before I am full and take plenty of exercise.

well, I'd say I'm more of an eater, even though i do cook at least once or twice a week. but at the end of cooking i still eat cos I'm so hungry after taking so long to cook! maybe a theory can go like this - some people cook when they are hungry, so after they finish cooking they are so hungry they eat a lot. some people cooking in time for when others are hungry (eg dinner time) so they are not hungry when they cook, and are not that hungry after they finish cooking so they don't eat much. or they are too tired to eat. i dunno. hopefully one day i can be a more proficient cook and baker. i love baked goods!

I prefer to eat than to cook. BUT,I only give my opinion if the meal is good. Unless I´m eating in a restaurant of course. I used to enjoy cooking when I was still single, but when it became obligatory to prepare meals every day I slowly but surely stopped enjoying it. According to the comments I got from the people I cooked for, I´m quite proficient, but if you ask me I prefer to be a proficient "eater".

Im more proficient in eating I guess. When it comes for cooking, I guess I can throw something up and I fing it tedious to follow a recipe step by step. I just take a quick look at it and then do whatever I want and whip up something. But it does not happen too often. Most of the time I am busy eating.
