Yogyakarta, never ending Asia

I think Yogyakarta its the best city that I know on Indonesia. Actually it's not a big city, but I don't know why this city always being in count all the people that want such a great place to stay, to live, to study and to have a such a good time.
The hospitality of the citizen makes this city always being perfect for someone like me. Maybe if you want to search for a job that can makes you earn so much money, Yogyakarta is not the right place. But I think, still makes this place a good place to stay cause everything seems cheaper than the orther city have.
Everytime I saw my friend that want to leave this city, they always feel so sad. Cause this city can gives you so much great memory. I love Yogyakarta, never ending Asia. The culture, the people, the college environment, everything.

Been to Indonesia before but only travelled to Jakarta and Bandung. I have never been to Yogyakarta before. But I noe the place has a very interesting site to visit, that is the Borobodour Temple. It is one of UNESCO World heritage sites. Hence I would love to visit Yogyakarta one day

I see Yogyakarta (Yogya) now is changing. About five years ago I found Yogya was one of the best place to stay. Peacefully, quiet and time went so slow. A lot of traditional markets, no hypermarket and only a few malls.
Now I see Yogya seems transforming into a new Jakarta. Traffic jam at peak hours, the driving style, Carrefour and Ambarukmo plaza, they changed Yogya. Remove the spirit and the warm atmosphere.
Still, Yogya is a nice place to live.

So…. Ayo ke Yogyakarta. Aku udah tinggal di jogja selama kurang lebih 4 tahun. Ampe sekarang aku betah benget disini.Mo kemana-mana juga mudah. Banyak tempat2 yang bisa buat refreshing. Pokoknya, Jogja lengkap banget deh…

I am also a native of jogjakarta. really really miss it with my hometown, recently mourned jogjakarta eruption trim. hopefully the city, people, society and economy jogja can return as usual.

well, you're right. i live in yogyakarta and i have never got bored with the city. they say that in 1970s yogyakarta is much more beautiful. in that time, malioboro is like paradise for the local artist.
