Waiting for the Rain

I don't know about anyone else but when it gets really hot outside I cannot wait for a rain storm! I purposely wait then I go out walking in it to cool down. Also for some reason it energizes me and makes me feel like there is magic in the air and that I am strong and powerful... Hopefully I'm not a freak and there are others like me here... I'm going for another walk because its thunderstorming right now with the best lightning.

I live in England and we have had the wettest summer ever recorded. In this situation the rain loses its appeal very quickly.

I think the experience of rain in the tropics can be a magical experience. The air is warm and the rain drops feeling quite refreshing. I remember seeing the most beautiful storm in Australia. There was the sound of the thunder happening quite loudly and bright flashes of light in the sky. Wow!
I don't enjoy rain as much in a cold country like the UK. It can be cold and leave me feeling damp and uncomfortable. I enjoy the sound of raindrops on the roof however.
