referral links - what is the deal?

Why do some people seem to be allowed to post them after I was told it was not allowed? Some people post them, post them quite often and have been doing it for a long time. What is the deal? Why are some people allowed and others are not?

As long as the referral links are relevant to the discussion, they are allowed by myLot. You can't start a discussion that includes your links but you can respond to someone else's discussion and include the links as long as the person who has started the discussion has asked for people to share their money-making opportunities with them. As long as the links are relevant to the original discussion, they are not against myLot policy. Try to find discussions in the make extra money section that are asking for you to share your ideas, links, ways to make money, etc. As long as your links have been "invited" you should have no problem.

I understand what you are saying - but I keep noticing posts where the member has started the discussion and had their referral link in the original post. Oh well, at every site I have ever belonged to there seemed to be some people that got away with stuff the rest of us couldn't. I just have to learn to let it slide I guess.

Hi coferbox. I know that referral links are allowen in response to somebody's request about money making sites. This applies also to recipes. You can not post a recipe when you start a discussion, but if someone is asking for a certain recipe then you can answer. I do see a lot of people starting discussions with their referral links and the discussions are not deleted. I myself did it few times before I knew it was not allowed by mylot. Good luck coferbox and happy earnings!
