Have you ever found someone online that you haven't seen in years?

I found someone on myspace that I have been looking for the last 8-10 years. I hadn't seen her in 17 years. She was a little girl name Chelsea that I used to babysit for. I always thought about her through the years and even want to name my kid after her. Well on my 30th birthday- she returned my call and we talked. Wow, hadn't seen her in 17 years and now she is getting ready to turn 21. I was so shocked and happy at the same time. Luckily she only lived 3 1/2 hours away from me and she drove down Thursday to hang out. She leaves tomorrow to go home. We have sat and talked for hours about me babysitting her and she remembers bits and pieces of me. It's really neat. What is even neater is we have SOOOO much in common for me being 9 years older than her. I love her like a sister. It's weird because she can be doing something at my house and either her facial expressions, smiles, hair, laugh or something she does with her eyes reminds me of the childhood of me babysitting her. I love the fact that I found her. We definetly have a bond that will never be broken.
So- my question to you is.. Have you ever searched and found someone that you were out of contact with for sooooo many years? Have you reunited with them in person?Share your story please.

Yes it's funny you posted this. I joined facebook reluctantly I guess cause I didn't know what it was all about. Anyways I have been in touch with a guy that I went to grade school with. Now that is 30 years ago. Then last week an old boyfriend contacted me. It was so cool to talk to him. He sent me a message and it said I think I was your boyfriend when we were 16 or 17. That made me laugh. I'm 41 now so a lot of time has passed. The powers of the internet!

That is really cool. I wish an old boyfriend of mine would look me up. LOL Actually, one did a few weeks ago and we got to talking. We are both married but dang, we did talk about the past of 12 years ago. Thanks for sharing your story.

I keep contact with friends I haven't seen in years via Friendster. When I suddenly remember them, I look them up. What ticked me off about one of my friends was when I added them to my contact list in Friendster. I haven't seen this person in over 5 years. When I added him, he suddenly sent me SPAM! It was really irritating. I wanted to report him to the website but learned that if I did they would block him from contacting me so I just let it go. But I did send him a message that the message he forwarded wasn't true so he might as well stop sending it out to people. He hasn't contacted me again since.

Aww that sucks that he did that. I understand the irratation though of spam. I can't stand it. It is the same stuff going around and around. Thanks for sharing your story though.
