This is a topic that many of us have to deal with as we grow older. When you start seeing your first grey hairs appear, and as they increase, will you allow yourself to go grey or will you use hair color or have your hair highlighted? All opinions are welcomed!

I think gray hair shows character. Granted, I don't have any gray hair myself, nor do I fear having gray hair as my hair in itself is fairly light and I dye it constantly... but I think gray hair is nice. Especially in dark hair. I just think it shows character and I think it's really nice. I think allowing your hair to naturally shine in all it's glory and grays will give you more character and strength of person than dying it to try and keep the grays a dirty little secret. I'd also rather have a full head of gray hair than go bald.

I started getting gray hair when I was about 16. I have dyed my hair ever since. At first it would work to just color it with dye from walmart or wherever, but now that I'm 29 and there's so much gray hair, the dye comes off of the grays within a couple of washings. I have brown hair and it looks mousy when the gray hairs show up, so I streak it with blonde to hide them all. :o(

I have light brown hair too, and I've noticed that the greys are really starting to show. Hmph. I'm thinking maybe some blonde highlights like you to hold this off for a while. Grey does show character, but I'm not ready to show character just yet!!

Well I actually got my first grey hair at the age of 17(!), though it has been mercifully slow process since then. I do have a good few now though, though thankfully they really don't show unless you get very close because my hair is so blonde anyway, that they don't show up. If they beging to take over though, I will definaely dye them! I'm not scared of getting old, but I admit I am the sort of woman that takes a pride in my appearance - make-up, nail varnish, fashionable clothes etc, so I hust can't see me being happy within mysef if I had grey hair that made me look older. I've always believed half the secret of looking good is making the most of yourself and being comfortable in the way you look, and I know I wouldn't be comfortable grey - so it would be out with the peroxide bottle for me!!!!

if I am very young when my first grey hair appears, then I will color it,for it will looks very ugly;but if I am old, then I will just leave it alone, because I know dying hairs does bad to our health.
