I help my son in teaching him the skills in reading, how to understand a difficult topic, finding meaning for new english words, forming of phrases and idioms, and also teach him some subjects which he has not understood at school. I am poor at mathematics and my wife is a engineering graduate and she teaches him maths.

If I get married one of these days and have children of my own, I think I would love to help and teach them. I want my children to excel in their studies if not pass all what they need to. I do admire parents who find time for their children. God bless!

My son is almost 3 years old. He doesn't have any formal studies yet but we already have times allocated to him learning and growing. We read together at least 15 minutes a day, we do a craft or educational exercise each day, we have exercise time allocated, he does a musical activity each day and we have a music fun class once a week during the fall, winter and spring. We also augment with additional activities as we see fit (art camp this summer, swim lessons, etc.)
I believe education is very important and I will help him establish routines and habits to help him be as successful as possible in his studies.

I like to help my child in his study. I think I am very responsible for it. I may have to prepare for it, because right now he is only 3 years old. In fact sometimes I found the homework in the primary school here is too difficult to finish. The questions are just too hard. I know it sounds very rediculous but it's true.

I don't have children yet but when i was young, my mother always teaches and helps me in my studies that why I always get on the top of my class. But when I got to highschool, she became very busy of her work that's why there's no time to study anymore. I couldn't discipline myself to study on my own.

I dont have a child of my own yet. But I do help my brother and sister a lot in their studies. Even my wife is more interested in helping the children in their studies. We dont allot a particular time for that, but we do help them whenever they need some help from us.

When I lived with my sister and her six children, nothing was more important to me than helping them with their homework. It is so important that the family contributes as much as possible to the children's learning, because the teachers can't do it all.

We do not have certain times put aside to help our children with their education but we do help and make it our business to make sure we know what school work they are doing and going over it with them! We also find we can help their education in everyday life! xxx

Hello Coolgeth,
As you know, my baby son is just 10 months old. So I don' t have anything to say about helping him with his studies. But, I do help my nieces and nephews in their studies. Whenever they call or come to my house, I will just spend some times with them: teach them and guide them on how to do their homework. It is not a daily work to do. Maybe just once or twice a week or a month *smile*

I would hope that all parents take time out of their schedule to help their children with their homework. It's not just the teachers' jobs to help them. Parents need to help too.
