Tissue papers or handkerchief?

I always put a handkerchief in my pocket though I use it very seldom. When I've got a cold, I prepare two handkerchieves or more. However tissue-papers still help me when it's getting so hard. Of course, I must keep them well-wrapped before I throw them into the trash-bin.
I've ever disturbed by thoughts of environmental issues which have something to do with tissue-paper manufacturing. We know, tissue papers are made of wood-pulp. It means they need felling trees. Due to this thoughts, I'd prefer handkerchief rather than tissue papers. But it's still dilemmatic! It's hard to be consistent, isn't it?
What about you?
