Do you ever eat ice cream cones?

When I did my last shopping ice cream was on sale so I bought a gallon of Butter Pecan. As I was going along the aisles I was passing by the ice cream cones and after careful thought decided to buy a box. I very seldom eat ice cream but since it was on sale I couldn't resist. Seeing the cones and sugar cones at that I felt I just had to get them.
When I get ice cream outside it has to be a hot fudge sundae but I hate all the bother and mess of making them at home which is why I decided on the cones. I only have one two or three times a week which I don't think is bad considering I'm not a big ice cream fan.
Do you like ice cream cones? If you do do you make them at home? Are you more partial to regular or sugar cones?

Loving sugar cones as much as I do I couldn't NOT eat the whole cone! I've never tried eating one without ice cream in it though. A new treat?

There is definitely nothing wrong with waste management. I actually just finished off a box of sugar cones that I bought at the beginning of the month. I hate having just one of anything left in a box!

I prefer sugar cones over the regular ones, because i tend to enjoy them more with my ice cream. i eat my ice cream all the way to the end of the cone. it is really enjoying to eat the sugar cone once it is already kind of softened by the ice cream. it really minimizes my stress.:)

I just realized that I eat ice cream when I'm stressed out. It's a great tension reliever isn't it? I think that's called "comfort food"....lol...

When I do eat ice cream , it is almost always in a cone. I love ice cream and the cone keeps me from going over board on my serving. The cone I use prefers on my mood.
Although right now I do not like ice cream at all. This is a really weird pregnancy. :)

Being pregnant changes our taste buds amazingly enough and not always to our liking. I always hated when something I liked all of a sudden became something I didn't. Especially something like ice cream!

I remember when I was young, I used to love ice-cream cones. Now I've grown up a bit, I'm not really bothered about them. I'm vegan, so I have special ice-cream that I tend to eat out of the tub. I only do this because I know no-one else will be eating it, so it isn't unhygienic! I used to love ice-cream cones. I just feel too old to have them now, I guess! x

I don't think any age is too old to be eating ice cream cones. There is an ice cream place next door to a Sr. Citizens building near me and there is always a large crowd of Srs. in line.

Once in a blue moon I will take the kids out for ice cream. Well for the four of us it would be 5 bucks worth of gas and 10 bucks for us all to get ice cream. Usually when I am shopping I will pick up the stuff and make it at home. Way cheapier but yes there is something to just going for it, picking your own kind, watching the person scoop it in. I like the sugar cones and as for kinds of ice cream I like plain soft serve but if not that then something with lots of chucks, clusters, bits, and bites. LOL Vicki

You don't know how! The secret is buying an ice cream scoop. From there the rest is easy. Just fill the cone with ice cream and your on your way. Give it a try!

I actually prefer ice cream cones. I like them becase there is no cleanup after. Ok there's a scoop, but no dishes. I also order them when I go out for ice cream because often stores use styrofoam cups. Cones are better for the environment because then there's no styrofoam to throw away.

How cool, your an environmentalist even at the ice cream parlor. Your so right though. Those styrofoam cups are bad for the environment and we should think about that more often.

Yes Ice cream cones are a real treat in our house. I love to lick it down, then bite then bottom of the cone off to suck the melted ice cream through it. My youngest does this as well. I also love thos cones that have a place for a double scoop. Regular is my favorite, the sugar cones with the ice cream is just too rich for me, in flavor.

Your response reminded me of two things....sucking the ice cream out of the bottom of the cone and the double cones. I had totally forgotten about both! Next time!!

I eat one every chance I get. Having so many grandkids is great because it gives me an excuse to always have ice cream and cones in the house. My all time favorite is rocky road, but any ice cream tastes great in a cone.

Grandkids are an awesome reason for doing a lot of things we wouldn't otherwise do on our own. I have to admit I didn't get the ice cream and cones for my grandkids...it's all for me...lol....

I wish I had a big ice cream cone right now, ctry. I love them, but have not had one in a couple of years. It seems I am always trying to watch my weight. Butter Pecan is one of my favorite flavors also. If I could I would eat them every day. I like the sugar cones best, but will settle for the plain ones.

I know what you mean about the weight. I'm always watching mine and know that the sugar cones are not the way to go. I'm going to cut down on how many I have and I've just promised myself that.

I think, even though sugar cones are my favorite that I'm going to get me some of the wafer cones. Just to keep the sugar content down.

I love to eat the ice cream cones too esp the sugar one. Even though it's cold here, we loved to stop by the ice cream store and buy ice cream in a cone. We enjoy it so much. At home, I can deal with or without the cones, I just love ice creams.

hi sweetie,
even i am not an ice-cream fan but i get immensely tempted by the crude, diet, brown cones with choc'late chips whenever i pass by that brand parlour. if not for the ice-cream, i would have it for the crispy cones. it tastes very simple yet the taste lingers a long time. i just love it. ice-cream was never so alluring until i discovered those cones..lol..

yeah i eat ice cream cones. i like 'em. but i dont eat those that is being sold in the streets. those that the ice cream man sells. ^__^;; i dont like cones touched by anybody else. LOL

I do not like to eat sweet things, but I was very fond of eating ice cream, perhaps like love is the kind of cold sweet feeling, I did not particularly like the ice cream, ice cream as long as it is and I like it.

i eat cones with the ice cream but i don't eat it on its own. maybe because not all cones taste good. some cones taste like waffer..i love the sweet one though. i have a friend who eats sweet ice cream cones and prefer that over the ice cream.
