Why is your better half the most important person in most of the people's life?

I have seen with my family and friends that their better half takes the most important stand in their life. They feel him/her to the most important for them.
Its that person whom their share their secrets with, can do anything for him/her, can go to any extent to keep them happy and maitain their relation with.
I dont say that they dont pay attention to any other realtion, but when it comes to the their husband/wife, they can overcome the relation with their father-mother also.
Why is it so?
I dont have that person yet in my life, so i really dont understand the situation, but you people must be knowing the reason.
Please share it with me....

Interesting Post!
Rakhi, once you enter into wedlock..then only you would realise the importance of otherwise of a partner in life. Why and how the partner becomes important? Marriage is an institution. Once we get married, we start growing our own family and that immediate family becomes more important than any other relations. It happens with everybody...those who do not follow it...and give importance to other relations e.g. their parents....they face problems in married life. What is needed - a balance between your partner and parents/other relations, everyone should be given its due importance and regards.

For me I consider the better half as my most intimate and close companion in my life. He gives me lots of care and assistance whenever I come to face with any difficulties in daily life.
We could manage to solve the conflicts between us and the parents as well as other members of the family through mutual understanding and compromise. I believe that with real love and consideration any family problems can be solved sooner or later.
Mutual trust in husband and wife could play the most important part in the binding of marriage life.
Anyhow situation could be different in other cases. What does matter is whether we could tackle the problem wisely with our discretion.

Better half is the most important in the life..............beacuse .he/she can share the moments,secret of the life ......They are know what to do in the life when the time of problems occur..........after parents he/she......is most required in the life i think so..............

When you get married, you are pledging your life to that person and vice versa. You are to be that person's best friend. You can't possibly understand until you are in that position. It's a deep connection that only gets stronger and stronger with time.
