Have you notice the time displayed on every watch commercials? It's always 10:10! Rolex, Tag Heuer, Gucci, et. al.; all of them display 10:10 on their ads, digital watch or otherwise. Does anybody know why they chose 10:10 to display on every watch ads? Who or what started it all, and the reason why? If you do know the answer, share it to the world. I'm sure not everyone knows, I don't. LOL... Keep safety all!_

Good question, lol. I have noticed this before but never really thought about it. I'm sure it's some kind of industry standard, or just something they've always done. Maybe it's because it's more artfully balanced to have the hands in that position. (If the hands were at noon, you wouldn't be able to see both hands at the same time.)

It's for aesthetics. A watch reading 10:10 has a clean, symmetrical look. Also the hands won't cover up the watch logo because that is usually located by the number 12. This isn't a new thing as it's been around for a very long time with watch commercials. It just looks nice.

I never really noticed that. I think it's because the manufacturers want to show the beauty of the clock hands. Butting them in a upward position is more visually appealing than a single line.
