In my culture, the sound of an Owl in the quiet of the night is associated with terrible omens to happen, usually its either death of a close one or just some disaster of a kind! My mother used to leave her bed to go an scare any owls from nearby bushes, she would be so dejected, fearing for the worst for her children and relatives, do you have such Owl related superstition!
