Does your community Depend on Forest for wood fuel or other energy source?

The forest is the main source of wood fuel in my country-electricity is extremely expensive for the ordinary man to afford so they depend mainly on wood from the forest. this has puta strain on the forest cover? What does community depend on for domestic fuel?

I stay in a cosmopolitan city and use of firewood is not allowed by the pollution control board. Other energy source are: electricity, gas, solar heaters. We use all three. Nearest forest is 150 kms from here.
